Our staff is second to none when it comes to the care of your animals...
Robyn, our head receptionist, was raised in northwestern Washington where her family always had lots of dogs, cats and a few horses. She got her fist horse when she was 9 and from then on she was hooked. She started to show horses and did some barrel racing until she graduated from high school. In the summer of '81 she and her parents moved to Pendleton where she continued to ride horses for pleasure and worked at The Bon as a sales associate. After the closing of the store, she decided to return to what she loved most..working with animals. She was hired by Dr. Groupe in 1988, and with exception of a short hiatus, has been here ever since.
She and her husband have been married for 16 years and have two teenage daughters along with two dogs and four cats. Her daughters are avid soccer players and the family loves to go camping and spending time at the Oregon coast.
Robyn is also very involved with her oldest daughters Girl Scout troop, volunteering with cookie sales and several other service projects that they do in the community.
Shawn, one of our small animal assistants, was raised on Tollgate Mountain and attended school in Athena, just outside of Pendleton. From a very young she always had a love for animals and following graduation from high school, she worked at a veterinary clinic in Walla Walla where she stayed for three years.
In the spring of '06 she joined Riverside, following a decision to move to Pendleton and a desire to stay in the veterinary field. She has a special interest in in-patient care and surgery.
Shawn and her husband have been married since August 2010 and have a 5 year old son. The are also expecting another child in July of this year.
